I failed to make it out yesterday in desperate need of sleep which is an absolute travesty as i missed a beautiful day. Rested i was psyched to get out today and wanted to have a go at some stuff i hadn't really been on before so we headed to Brimham Outliers (Little Brimham). On the way it was pretty damp on road so probably should of known best but we persevered and with 4 mats in the Mauritius parked up and walked down to the crag. Walking along the edge we headed first to Cowboy daze (E3 in old money), i had last been here 6 years ago with Ali and failed to top out so was really keen to get on it again. We warmed up on a V0 and V1 but failed to top out due to a green slime, they were both very good and on the next block to Cowboy daze. Cowboy Daze is high so after a few tentative attempts eventually i got myself into position to latch my hand over the top ( i love the moves getting up there,m lots of heels, big holds, - great) the top was slimey and feeling the need to have everything for this one i dropped off with the intention of coming back YET AGAIN!!!
Next step we went over to the amazing arete of Boris or Bust. It looks like a mini high noon but still manages to intimidate. After a few failed attempts to work out the sequence we eventually made some upwards progress but i started to rip a hole in my finger on a pebble, I didn't quite go through but when it started to snow i knew that was game-over. I even failed on the V1 next to it because of a green top out. Named Natasha's just Desserts (have you done that one Ali?). Oh well another nil pois - need some beta for Boris and better conditions for Cowboy daze, goo to be out and nice that we've had a bit of snow!
